Pendant

Jade Hei Tiki

$2,000.00

This Hei Tiki is carved from a lovely light green New Zealand jade with scattered fine dark spots throughout.

Though hard jade and very time consuming it was worth the extra effort to create this beautiful carving.

The original is an old one in the Kalimantan collection.

The hei tiki form has it’s meaning obscured by time but most commonly is seen as representing Tiki, the first human.

There are other possible meanings relating to fertility and also the unborn human form.
