This stone was found by a friend of mine many years ago in a small stream behind Hokitika. I was lucky enough to be able to twist his arm and he generously parted with half of the stone.
Unfortunately a gold plant went through the wee valley and shifted the stream to the other side away from where he had been finding some most unusual jades. Maybe it will shift back one day but very little has been found since.
The top of the pendant has a traditional lashing connecting to the adjustable cord, the knot slide to adjust for length.
This pendant is 10.8cm high and 2.4cm widest.
