This pendant is carved from a lovely jade in the Roimata or teardrop form carved from a light green verging on Inanga jade awith some scattered black spots and bright green chrome diopside spots which are most unusual for New Zealand jade!
I have included a bit of the rind on the reverse so each side is different.
The pendant is 8.5cm long and 2.1cm wide.

This pendant is carved from a lovely jade in the Roimata or teardrop form.
The stone is also self collected years back and is a most unusual specimen.
The jade is a light green verging on Inanga jade and has some scattered black spots but the exciting feature of the bright green chrome diopside spots are most unusual for New Zealand jade! Most memorable for the aches n pains after carting it up a huge hill! But the surprise when I cut it made it very worthwile!
