New Zealand Jade Teardrop Pendant

This jade pendant is carved from a very beautiful light green jade in tapered teardrop fashion, traditionally called roimata.
It is peppered with fine dark spots which run in lines through the piece making nice patterns.
There are a few cloud fractures mainly on the reverse which only serve to give character to this lovely stone, they do not compromise strength in any way!
Quite beautifully translucent.
I collected this jade many years ago.
The cord has sliding knots so can be adjusted for length to suit.
This pendant is 8.6cm high, 2.2cm widest.
