Stunning New Zealand Jade Hei Tiki
$950.00
This Hei Tiki is carved from a lovely bright green New Zealand jade with a cluster of black spots on the rear.
Hard jade and very time consuming it was worth the extra effort to create this beautiful carving.
I have designed this piece following a more traditional style of carving Hei Tiki.
The hei tiki form has it’s meaning obscured by time but most commonly is seen as representing Tiki, the first human.
There are other possible meanings relating to fertility and also the unborn human form.
