I carved this flattened koru spiral sculpture from a wonderful piece of dendritic New Zealand jade.
It is kokopu/inanga jade from the Nelson region which features pale green and brown colours with dark flecks.
The sturdy Totara wood base gives it a ballanced platform for presentation.
The koru is 11.8cm wide and 6.8cm high, overall height is 9.4cm.

I carved this flattened koru spiral sculpture from a wonderful piece of dendritic New Zealand jade.
It is from a self collected kokopu/inanga jade from the Nelson region featuring lovely pale green and brown colours with dark flecks.
The Totara wood base gives it sturdiness and ballances the carving as a whole.
The koru is 11.8cm wide and 6.8cm high, overall height is 9.4cm.
