Dark Jade Drop (Roimata) pendant

This is a rounded drop pendant also known as a Roimata (teardrop) which is carved from a beautiful dark green jade with lovely sparkling inclusions.
This stone was found by a friend of mine many years ago in a small stream behind Hokitika. I was lucky enough to be able to twist his arm and he generously parted with half of the stone.
Unfortunately a gold plant went through the wee valley and shifted the stream to the other side away from where he had been finding some most unusual jades. Maybe it will shift back one day but very little has been found since.
The pendant has an adjustable cord, the knots slide to adjust for length.
This pendant is 9cm high and 2.2cm widest.
